Description :
Location : India (Remote / Hybrid) Company : Ourparkingspace
About the Role :
As a UX/UI Engineer at Ourparkingspace, you will be the bridge between complex logistics and human-centric design. We aren't just looking for someone to make things "look pretty"we need a problem-solver who understands the friction of urban commuting in India. You will design and implement the interfaces for our mobile app (used by drivers) and our operator dashboard (used by parking facility managers).
Key Responsibilities :
- End-to-End Product Design : Lead the design lifecycle from initial user research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and front-end handoff.
- User Research & Empathy : Conduct field research at parking sites to understand the real-world pain points of Indian drivers and parking attendants.
- Visual & Interaction Design : Create intuitive, "glanceable" interfaces for drivers who may be using the app while navigating traffic, ensuring high accessibility (WCAG standards) for diverse user groups.
- Design System Ownership : Build and maintain a scalable design system that ensures consistency across our Android, iOS, and Web platforms.
- Technical Implementation : Collaborate closely with backend engineers to ensure design feasibility. You should be comfortable translating designs into clean, responsive CSS/HTML or React components.
- Iterative Testing : Use heatmaps, A/B testing, and user feedback to constantly refine the booking, payment, and navigation flows.
Requirements :
- Experience : 25 years of experience in UX/UI design, preferably within a tech startup or a logistics/hyperlocal service environment.
- Toolkit : Proficiency in Figma (primary), Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools like Protopie or Framer.
- Technical Skills : Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind/Bootstrap). Familiarity with React or React Native is a major plus.
- Portfolio : A strong portfolio showcasing case studies that highlight your thinking process, not just final mockups. We want to see how you solved a specific problem.
- Localization Mindset : Understanding of the Indian context, including multi-language support and low-bandwidth optimization.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience designing for IoT-integrated systems (e.g., real-time sensor data, automated gates).
- Knowledge of micro-interactions and motion design to improve user delight.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, "Bias for Action" environment.
