Job Summary :

We are seeking a seasoned Unix and Windows System Administrator with a minimum of 7+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader with a proven track record of managing a large-scale global server infrastructure. This role requires expertise in the operational support and maintenance of over 3,900+ servers running Solaris and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). You will be instrumental in ensuring system reliability, security, and compliance with the technology roadmap while supporting mission-critical operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Infrastructure & Operations Management :

- Lead and manage the administrative team responsible for the global UNIX/LINUX server infrastructure.

- Provide hands-on operational support, maintenance, and performance monitoring for over 3,900+ servers.

OS & Patch Management :

- Own the full lifecycle of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system software, including reviewing, identifying, and deploying critical updates and patches.

- You will also perform standard OS upgrades to align the Platinum Unix environment with the technology roadmap.

Project & Technical Leadership :

- Provide dedicated support for all 'Change the Bank' and 'Run the Bank' activities.

- Work closely with UNIX engineering teams and third-party vendors to support various projects and implement roadmap initiatives, particularly around Exadata.

Systems Administration :

- Administer and maintain multiple server operating systems, including system-level troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and ensuring system uptime.

Process & Collaboration :

- Ensure all administrative activities adhere to established processes.

- You will maintain open communication with the project delivery team and other stakeholders to facilitate seamless project execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- A minimum of 7+ years of proven experience as a Unix/Linux System Administrator.

- Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team responsible for a large-scale server infrastructure.

- Extensive hands-on experience with Solaris and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration.

- Proficiency in background job scheduling and monitoring, and troubleshooting long-running jobs.

- Experience in administering multiple server operating systems.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Windows Server administration.

- Knowledge of Exadata hardware and roadmaps.

- Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.

- Proficiency in Shell scripting for automation.

- A strong understanding of Change the Bank and Run the Bank activities.
