Univest - Director/Design Leader

About the Role We are looking for a Design Leader to own and elevate the end-to-end user experience across our mobile and web platforms.

This role goes beyond execution you will define UX strategy, influence product direction, and shape the future of retail investing experiences in India.

You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Growth, and Founders while leading a high-impact design team.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and drive UX strategy across all product verticals

- Design intuitive, data-driven, and high-conversion user journeys

- Build differentiated, scalable product experiences across mobile and web

- Ensure consistency and excellence in interaction design and usability

- Build, implement, and scale a robust design system across platforms

- Create reusable components and standardized design practices

- Improve collaboration between design and frontend engineering teams

- Ensure design scalability as the platform grows

- Translate business objectives into UX frameworks and product solutions

- Identify growth levers through behavioral design and user psychology

- Partner with Product Managers to influence roadmaps and prioritization

- Drive user research, usability testing, and experimentation

- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing design team

- Establish design processes, rituals, and review mechanisms

- Foster a culture of ownership, feedback, and iteration

- Bring structure, planning, and visibility to design delivery

What Were Looking For :

- 7+ years of experience in Product Design (Fintech experience preferred)

- Strong portfolio demonstrating problem-solving depth and impact

- Proven experience building or scaling design systems

- Deep understanding of user psychology, behavioral design, and conversion principles

- Strong stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

- Experience leading and mentoring a design team

- Up-to-date with global design trends and best practices
