Role & Key Responsibilities :
- Design and develop embedded hardware and firmware components for new electronic products - possibly involving miniaturised electronics given the company name and startup nature.
- Work on schematic design, component selection and PCB layout for compact/miniaturised systems.
- Develop firmware in C/C++ (and possibly other languages) for microcontrollers or SoCs, manage peripheral interfaces, communication protocols (UART, I2C, SPI, CAN), sensors, etc.
- Perform board bring-up, hardware-software integration, debug systems using test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters).
- Collaborate with mechanical, hardware, manufacturing and test teams to convert prototypes into production-ready modules.
- Prepare technical documentation : design specifications, BOMs, test plans, user manuals.
- Ensure that designs meet reliability, miniaturisation constraints, power/thermal budgets, versioning and production readiness.
- Stay up to date on newer embedded technologies, support continuous improvement in design methodology.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelors (B.Tech/B.E) in Electronics, Electrical, ECE, Instrumentation or equivalent.
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems (hardware + firmware).
- Strong understanding of embedded C/C++ programming.
- Experience in schematic/PCB design (tools like Altium, KiCad, Eagle or similar).
- Good knowledge of microcontrollers/SoCs, peripheral interfacing, communication protocols (SPI, IC, UART, CAN, etc).
- Experience with hardware debugging tools and good troubleshooting skills.
- Capable of working in a dynamic startup environment, managing multiple responsibilities and being proactive.
Desirable / Preferred Skills :
- Experience in miniaturised or low-power electronic design (small form-factor, compact systems).
- Familiarity with RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr) or bare-metal firmware design.
- Exposure to manufacturing / production readiness, DFM/DFT considerations.
- Knowledge of power/thermal/EMI constraints for compact electronics.
- Previous experience in R&D environments or startup electronics firms is a plus.
