Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Solution Lead Service Delivery Packet Core with deep expertise in 4G/5G Packet Core solutions, cloud-native core networks, and hands-on integration experience. This role demands strong architectural understanding, solution leadership, and operational excellence to deliver next-generation packet core solutions for global telecom networks. You will lead solution design, integration, upgrades, and troubleshooting while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a 247 support environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead the solutioning, design, and integration of 4G/5G Packet Core nodes including :

- SGSN / MME / AMF

- GGSN / EPG / SMF / PCC / PCG

- PCRF / SAPC / CCPC / PCF

- ePDG / WMG

- NRF / NSSF / Signaling Controller

- Prepare High-Level Design (HLD) and Detailed-Level Design (DLD) documents for 5G NSA/SA Core as per customer requirements.

- Define end-to-end solution architecture for Packet Core deployments ensuring alignment with customer network requirements and industry best practices.

Integration, Deployment & Upgrades :

- Perform integration, configuration, and onboarding of 5G SA Packet Core CNFs including PCC, PCG, CCPC on different cloud environments.

- Execute ISSU upgrades, patches, and updates for 5G SA Packet Core cloud-native network functions.

- Ensure seamless integration and communication between Packet Core CNFs and dependent nodes like UDM, CCPC, ENL via SCP (direct and indirect).

Technical Expertise & Domain Knowledge :

- Demonstrate strong end-to-end understanding of Packet Core solutions across 4G EPC and 5G SA architecture.

Deep knowledge of 4G and 5G call flows including :

- Handover (HO)

- VoLTE

- EPS fallback

- VoNR

- VoWiFi

- IoT

Strong domain knowledge of 5G Network Functions :

- AMF, SMF, UPF, PCF, NRF

- Comprehensive understanding of NFVI & CNIS, cloud environments, and virtualization platforms.

Cloud, CNF & Virtualization Expertise :

Expertise in cloud-native telecom deployments using :

- RHOSP, CEE, Kubernetes, ECCD

- Hardware platforms like BSP, Dell, HP, HDS

- Experience with telecom cloud orchestrators such as :

- ATLAS, ECM, SDI, OMC, EVNFM

Strong understanding of network protocols and cloud-native components including :

- SCTP, HTTP, Calico, Multus, SR-IOV, Load Balancers

Operational Support & Troubleshooting :

- Deliver high-quality support in a 247 environment ensuring SLA compliance.

- Monitor customer deployments, proactively detect issues, and resolve them with minimal service impact.

- Use troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, K12/K15, Spirent for packet analysis and issue isolation.

- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and contribute to continuous service improvements.

Leadership & Collaboration :

- Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing across the team.

- Stay updated with emerging 5G technologies and innovations in the mobile core domain.

- Collaborate with cross-functional and multi-country teams effectively, ensuring smooth project delivery.

- Drive a culture of learning, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Required Skills & Expertise :

- 10+ years in Telecom EPC and 3+ years in 5G SA Core.

- Strong understanding of 5G NSA/SA Packet Core architecture.

Hands-on expertise with :

- SGSN-MME, EPG, ePDG/WMG

- PCF (CCPC), PCC (AMF & SMF), PCG (UPF)

- Integration of Packet Core nodes

- Deep understanding of cloud-native network functions (CNFs) and their deployment on NFVI and virtualized platforms.
