Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced ADA Front-End Developer with strong expertise in Angular and accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG 2.1+) to lead the design, development, and enhancement of accessible, high-quality web applications. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on experience implementing inclusive design principles, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and championing accessibility across the development lifecycle.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and enhancement of Angular-based front-end applications with a strong focus on accessibility (ADA / WCAG 2.1+) compliance.

- Drive accessibility initiatives in collaboration with Product, UX, and QA teams.

- Conduct and oversee accessibility audits using tools such as axe-core, WAVE, NVDA, and JAWS.

- Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 / 2.2 standards across Level A, AA, and AAA criteria.

- Implement semantic HTML, ARIA roles, keyboard navigation, focus management, and color contrast best practices.

- Ensure compatibility with screen readers and assistive technologies.

- Build and maintain reusable, accessible UI components aligned with modern front-end best practices.

- Collaborate with QA teams to define accessibility test plans and validate implementations.

- Perform detailed code reviews with an accessibility-first approach.

- Mentor and guide developers on accessibility techniques, standards, and best practices.

- Advocate for accessibility in architectural decisions and cross-functional planning.

- Integrate automated accessibility testing tools into CI/CD and development workflows.

- Contribute to internal accessibility documentation, guidelines, and process improvements.

- Stay current with evolving accessibility standards, regulations, and front-end technologies.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5 to 7 years of front-end development experience with strong expertise in Angular and TypeScript.

- Proven experience building ADA-compliant, accessible web applications.

- Deep understanding of :

- Semantic HTML

- ARIA roles and attributes

- Keyboard navigation

- Focus management

- Hands-on experience with accessibility testing tools :

a. axe-core

b. WAVE

c. NVDA

d. JAWS

- Ability to identify, document, and remediate accessibility issues effectively.

- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a proactive mindset.

- Experience working with or contributing to design systems with built-in accessibility.

- Experience leading accessibility initiatives or participating in accessibility-focused programs or groups.

Good to Have :

- CPACC or other accessibility-related certifications.

- Experience integrating accessibility checks into CI/CD pipelines.

- Exposure to global accessibility standards and compliance requirements.
