Truemeds - Quality Assurance Engineer - Selenium/Cypress

Responsibilities:

- Drive the QA process across the product lifecycle - from test planning and test case design to execution and release validation.

- Create and maintain robust test plans, test cases, and scenarios based on business and technical requirements.

- Perform thorough manual testing of web and mobile applications, with a focus on functionality, usability, and responsiveness across devices.

- Contribute to and maintain automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar technologies.

- Conduct API testing (REST/SOAP) using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or JMeter.

- Analyze logs, errors, and crash reports to identify and isolate defects.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate requirements and proactively address quality risks early in the development cycle.

- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement.

- Provide clear QA documentation and status updates throughout the release cycle.

Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on QA experience in testing mobile and web applications.

- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, STLC/SDLC, and QA's role in Agile environments.

- Proficient in test automation using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.

- Solid knowledge of manual testing practices, with an eye for detail and user-centric testing approaches.

- Proficiency in SQL for backend validation and working with large datasets.

- Experience with API testing (REST/SOAP) using Postman, SoapUI, or JMeter is a plus

- Familiarity with developer tools and logs (e.g., Chrome DevTools, JavaScript console, browser network inspector, and backend logs) for debugging front-end and back-end issues.

- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser/mobile device behavior.

- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

- Exposure to e-commerce platforms and performance testing tools is a plus.

Nice to Have:

- Experience in setting up QA processes from scratch.

- Knowledge of CI/CD integration for test automation.

- Familiarity with accessibility and usability testing principles.
