We build powerful analytics in the US and Indian stock market space that are best in class. Organic growth in B2B and B2C products have already made the company profitable. We deliver 1 billion+ APIs every month to B2B customers, and have a B2C website and app.

About the Role

We are looking for an SDET with strong hands-on experience in mobile test automation (Appium) combined with web, API, and backend testing. This is a hands-on automation role - you will be expected to build and maintain frameworks, not just run existing test suites.

The primary focus is Android and iOS mobile automation using Appium with JavaScript or Python. Web automation using Playwright or Selenium is an equally important part of the role.

- Languages: JavaScript or Python (mandatory - one must be strong)

What You'll Do:

- Own and maintain mobile automation frameworks for Android and iOS using Appium - across screen sizes, OS versions, devices, network conditions, permissions, and deep links.

- Build and maintain web automation using Playwright or Selenium for critical user journeys.

- Write automation scripts in JavaScript or Python - framework-level code, not just test scripts.

- Perform API testing and automation - validate responses, authentication flows, error handling, and backend integrations using Postman or REST Assured.

- Validate database changes and data consistency using SQL.

- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines and proactively fix flaky tests.

- Define test strategy, scenarios, and test cases from requirements.

- Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across web, mobile, API, and backend.

- Manage defects, participate in triage, and work directly with developers for resolution.

- Contribute to QA best practices and mentor junior QA engineers where needed.

What We're Looking For:

- 3 - 6 years of experience in QA / SDET / Automation Testing.

- Mandatory: Hands-on mobile automation using Appium for both Android and iOS.

- Mandatory: Strong programming skills in JavaScript or Python - you must be able to write and maintain automation code independently.

- Strong experience with Playwright or Selenium for web automation.

- Basic understanding of Playwright is preferred.

- Hands-on API testing using Postman, Newman, or REST Assured.

- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI).

- Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP status codes, authentication/authorisation, and JSON.

- Experience with Git, JIRA, and SQL for database validation.

- Experience in functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.

- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

- Agile/Scrum environment experience.
