Description :

We are looking for an Immediate Joiner to join our team as a Trading Application Support Engineer. The role involves a mix of application deployment (Tomcat, databases, microservices) and application support with strong functional knowledge in Fixed Income and FIX Protocol.

This is a client-facing role where you will support mission-critical trading applications, ensure smooth deployments, troubleshoot incidents, and work closely with traders, business users, development, and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Application Deployment :

- Deploy and configure applications on Tomcat servers.

- Execute database schema changes, SQL scripts, and manage DB configurations.

- Deploy and monitor microservices (Docker/Kubernetes).

Application Support (L2/L3) :

- Provide 1st & 2nd level support for trading applications.

- Troubleshoot issues using logs, configs, SQL queries, and FIX messages.

- Manage incidents, perform root cause analysis, and escalate when needed.

- Coordinate with traders, clients, and technology teams during outages or upgrades.

Domain Knowledge :

- Work on Fixed Income products (bonds, swaps, rates, derivatives).

- Support and troubleshoot FIX Protocol-based integrations (Order, Execution Reports, Cancels, Rejects).

- Debug and resolve FIX session issues (sequence resets, dropped messages, connectivity failures).

Delivery & Coordination :

- Manage release rollouts, patches, and upgrades.

- Coordinate with Development, QA, and Infrastructure teams.

- Document runbooks, SOPs, and troubleshooting steps.

Key Skills & Experience Required :

Mandatory :

- Strong hands-on experience in Fixed Income domain.

- Expertise in FIX Protocol (FIX 4.2/4.4/5.0).

Technical Skills :

- Tomcat deployment & configuration.

- SQL databases (queries, schema changes, troubleshooting).

- Microservices deployment (Docker/Kubernetes preferred).

- Strong analytical skills for logs, configs, and system performance.

Other Requirements :

- 5+ years in Application Support / Production Support (Trading / Banking domain preferred).

- Strong communication skills (client-facing).

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment

- Immediate Joiner / 10 days max.
