Job Description

Workday Functional Consultant

We are seeking a Workday Functional Consultant with 5+ years of experience in configuring, implementing, and supporting Workday HCM modules.

The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Workday architecture, business processes, and reporting frameworks, and must be capable of translating complex business requirements into scalable, maintainable Workday configurations.

Core Responsibilities :


- Work directly with business users to gather requirements and provide Workday functional solutions


- Design, configure, test, and implement Workday modules


- Build and modify Workday business processes, validation rules, condition rules, and notifications


- Create and optimize calculated fields, custom reports, and dashboards


- Work with EIBs, Workday Studio, and Core Connectors for data imports and integrations


- Perform system testing, regression testing, and support user acceptance testing


- Develop user documentation, SOPs, and provide training to HR and end-users


- Act as functional SME during Workday releases, assessing impacts and implementing necessary updates


- Ensure data integrity and compliance with global HR policies and regulatory requirements

Required Skills & Experience :


- 5+ years of hands-on functional experience in Workday configuration and support


- Strong expertise in at least 3 Workday modules (e.g., Core HCM, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits)


- Experience with Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Condition Rules, Security Groups


- Solid understanding of Workday Business Process Framework


- Familiarity with Workday Integration concepts


- Excellent experience in translating business requirements into functional design


- Proficient in Excel, Visio, Word, and data mapping

Preferred Skills :


- Workday certification in HCM, Absence, or Compensation modules


- Experience in global rollouts, multi-country implementations, or data migration projects


- Familiarity with Workday Prism Analytics and People Experience (PEX)


- Understanding of SOX compliance, data privacy regulations, and HR audit requirements
