ThoughtSpot - Software Development Engineer - Test II - Playwright Testing

Description :

- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases in collaboration with development and product teams, with emphasis on cross-component end-to-end testing for new features.

- Design, automate where possible, and maintain release regression tests.

- Maintaining and debugging CX test environments.

- Creating, managing, and enhancing regression pipelines to improve baseline testing.

- Track and report release scores (regression and baseline index) and ensure test coverage is up to date.

- Conduct Feature Acceptance Tests (FAT) to assess feature readiness and determine appropriate automation.

- Integrate tests with Frameworks and System Test teams, and support system, performance, reliability, and migration testing.

- Ensure all release gating criteria are satisfied, including test execution, upgrade testing, bug triage, and release readiness reporting.

- Proactively triage bugs, monitor release status, and communicate progress and issues clearly with cross-functional teams.

- Demonstrate adaptability, a growth mindset, and alignment with team culture and values, focusing on continuous improvement and problem-solving.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 4 to 8 years of experience in product testing.

- In depth understanding of system architecture.

- Exposure to backend and API testing (e.g., using REST Assured, Postman, or similar tools).

- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python).

- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, etc.

- Familiarity with version control systems (Git/GitHub).

- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
