ThoughtSpot - Frontend Engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer - Frontend for our application team and share our passion for building revolutionary user interfaces. Our goal is to redefine how business users visualize and analyze large data sets, making the UI a critical differentiator for our product.

The challenge is to build a highly interactive app that delivers complex functionalities of a BI application in an intuitive and easy-to-understand fashion for business users. At the same time, the application should have lightning-fast response times even when a large amount of data is pushed into it. This is truly an opportunity to build and lead something from scratch that will be the first of its kind in the business intelligence market.

Responsibilities :

- Build a highly customizable, extensible, and smart data visualization platform.

- Partner with both product and cross-functional teams to build, scale, and implement elegant application Infrastructure solutions that scale and are built with enterprise-class operational excellence.

- We are obsessed with customer experience and uncompromising engineering standards.

- Work with diverse, cross-functional teams of designers, UX researchers, engineers, and product managers in a fast, collaborative process.

Requirements :

- 3+ years of experience crafting world-class experience designing and deploying enterprise-grade solutions.

- Experience leading engineering teams with end-to-end full-stack ownership.

- Strong foundation in frontend application technologies and experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries - Browser fundamentals, HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript, React.

- Exposure to UI frameworks such as React, AngularJS, YUI, jQuery, or D3 is a plus.

- Exposure to infrastructure tools such as Nginx, Node, or Grunt is a plus.

- Experience working with geographically distributed teams and infrastructure, preferably in a high-release velocity/startup environment, is a plus.

- Experience in engineering infrastructure development with the latest cloud-native technologies like Containers (Docker), Kubernetes, Public Clouds, etc.

- You love building and leading exceptional teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You have a strong bias for action and being resourceful.

- You are obsessed with the customer experience and uncompromising engineering standards.

- Bring amazing problem-solving skills and an ability to identify, quantify, debug, and remove bottlenecks and functional issues.

- Great communication skills, both verbal and written, and an interest in working with a diverse set of peers and customers.
