The SAP FI Solution Architect will lead the design and evolution of Finance solutions with a strong emphasis on custom development, integrations, and finance-specific enhancements across SAP ECC and S/4HANA. The role requires deep accounting knowledge combined with the ability to design, govern, and validate FI-related developments in complex enterprise landscapes.

This is a hands-on architecture role for finance platforms that continuously evolve through CRs, regulatory changes, and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own SAP FI solution and development architecture across implementation and enhancement programs

- Design finance solutions spanning :

a. General Ledger, AP, AR, Asset Accounting

b. Tax, Bank Accounting, Financial Reporting

- Lead custom development design for FI, including :

a. Custom postings, validations, substitutions

b. Enhancements for document posting and clearing logic

c. Regulatory and statutory reporting developments

- Define and review functional and technical designs for :

a. FI-related RICEFW objects

b. CDS views for finance reporting and analytics

c. OData services for downstream consumption

- Drive S/4HANA Finance extensibility, including :

a. Universal Journalbased reporting extensions

b. New Asset Accounting enhancements

c. Clean Corecompliant customizations

- Own integration architecture with :

a. SD (billing, revenue accounting)

b. MM (GR/IR, LIV enhancements)

c. Treasury, tax engines, external finance systems

- Partner with ABAP and data teams to ensure performance, reconciliation, and auditability

- Lead defect resolution for complex FI issues during SIT/UAT and Hypercare

- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as :

a. Month-end close acceleration

b. Automation and error handling

c. Finance data quality improvements

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8 to 10 years of SAP FI experience with strong development and enhancement exposure

- Deep understanding of FI exits, BADIs, and posting logic

- Hands-on experience designing custom reports, interfaces, and validations

- Strong knowledge of S/4HANA Finance data model (ACDOCA)

- Experience working in Big-4 or large-scale SAP development programs

- Ability to bridge finance, technology, and audit requirements

Good to Have :

- Exposure to Central Finance, Group Reporting, or Advanced Financial Close

- Experience with automation, reconciliation tools, or compliance reporting

- Agile / DevOps delivery exposure
