Experience : 5+ years.

We are looking for an experienced "UI/UX designer" to create the user experience for the company's digital interface (web, app, in-app) or any other interactive media.

He/she shall be entrusted with conceptualising and collaborating with the product managers, team leads and engineers to gather requirements, working with product/marketing/tech teams and successfully creating seamless designs.

Job Responsibilities :

- Understand all about The Hosteller's design practices, brand guidelines, existing tech products, workflow and specifications, etc.

- Understand the customer's life cycle and demographic.

- Understand ongoing as well as futuristic UI/UX requirements, product team's vision, etc.

- Illustrate and design ideas using storyboards, process flows, sitemaps and UI elements (like menus, tabs, flows, widgets, etc.

- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrating the final look.

- Build page navigation buttons and search fields.

- Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables).

- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.

- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness).

- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.

- Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images.

- Conduct pre-release/ post-release/ post-implementation testing.

- Conduct usability testing, to determine how straightforward and user-friendly a software product is.

- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications :

- Educational background : Graduation or post graduation in UI/UX or Design or computer science.

- Hands-on experience as a UI/UX designer or a similar role, across different environments (web/mobile/CMS/etc.) and various wireframe tools (Figma/Wireframe/Invision/etc.

- Hands-on experience of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

- Hands-on experience of working in startups, hyper growth environment, etc.

- Outstanding analytical, communication, interpersonal & time-management skills.

- Outstanding knowledge of prevalent UI trends, consumer psychology, user flow, user behaviour and buying patterns.
