The Emmes Company - Associate Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Primary Purpose :

We are seeking a motivated Associate AI Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and deployment of AI-powered applications using AWS technology stack.

In this role, you will help build, evaluate, enhance AI / ML models and algorithms and then assist in managing their deployment workflows as part of production-ready AI services.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including, Data Engineers, AI Engineers, Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers and Product Managers, to deliver secure, scalable and compliant AI solutions that accelerate clinical trials and generate actionable insights.

- Contribute to design, implementation and enhancing AI / ML models and algorithms.

- Assist in data preprocessing, feature engineering, dataset preparation and experimentation.

- Perform model training, evaluation and performance monitoring using AWS AI / ML services.

- Participate in development of AI applications by writing clean, modular and testable code aligned with software engineering best practices.

- Support AI application deployment workflows using Docker containerization, CI/CD pipelines

and API based inference services.

- Implement observability of AI functionality executions through logging, monitoring and

tracing.

- Perform code reviews, functional testing and model optimizations.

- Stay updated on AI / ML tool advancements within AWS and relevant industry best practices.

- Solid programming skills in Python with experience in AI / ML and data processing libraries.

- Basic understanding of programming concepts such as OOP, data structures and algorithms.

- Experience with Git version controlling and collaborative development workflows.

- Ability to read and adapt from model documentation, research articles, Hugging face model

cards and other AI / ML articles.

- Strong problem-solving mindset and curiosity to explore model behaviors and enhancements.

- Exposure to SQL querying would be a plus.

- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

- In-depth understanding of NLP concepts and experience in running inferences using LLMs.

- Experience with AI / ML python packages : scikit-learn, spaCy, LangChain, Hugging Face,

Transformers and PyTorch.

- Experience with data processing python packages : Pandas and NumPy.

- Exposure to AWS services : S3, ECR, Lambda, Sagemaker, Bedrock, DynamoDB and Redshift
