We are seeking a highly motivated SDET-1 to join our engineering team and contribute to building high-quality, scalable, and reliable software products.
The ideal candidate should possess strong programming fundamentals, hands-on experience in test automation, and a passion for improving software quality through engineering-driven testing practices.
As an SDET-1, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to design robust automation frameworks, enhance test coverage, and ensure seamless product releases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web applications, APIs, and backend services.
- Create reusable automation components and utilities to improve testing efficiency.
- Develop end-to-end, functional, regression, integration, and API test scenarios.
- Collaborate with developers during feature development to ensure testability and quality from the early stages of the SDLC.
- Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, and design discussions.
- Execute automated and manual test cases as needed and analyze test execution results.
- Identify, document, and track software defects while collaborating with engineering teams for timely resolution.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing initiatives.
- Contribute to improving test frameworks, coding standards, and quality engineering best practices.
- Perform root cause analysis for production defects and recommend preventive measures.
- Monitor automation stability, test coverage, and execution performance metrics.
- Stay updated with emerging testing tools, frameworks, and modern quality engineering practices.
Required Skills:
- 13 years of experience in software testing or quality engineering.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
- Experience in API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
- Understanding of software testing concepts including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
- Basic understanding of SQL and database validation techniques.
- Exposure to Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized test execution.
- Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
