Job Title : Test Engineer Tosca

Role Overview :

The Test Engineer is responsible for preparing, executing, and documenting testing activities throughout the application development lifecycle, in alignment with defined standards and policies.

The role includes identifying and raising defects, collaborating with developers on issue resolution, and providing regular updates to the Test Manager regarding progress, risks, and issues.

Key Responsibilities :

Test Planning & Execution :

- Prepare and execute test cases in compliance with testing standards and methodologies.

- Perform manual and/or automated testing using Tosca and other test tools.

- Support test data management activities.

- Track and report test KPIs and metrics according to ETSM standards.

Defect Management :

- Identify, log, and track defects found during testing.

- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure timely defect resolution.

- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts.

Collaboration & Requirements :

- Work with Requirements Engineers to define clear acceptance criteria.

- Contribute to early project phases, including test effort estimation and requirements analysis.

- Support the creation of decision documents for committees and stakeholders.

Project Support :

- Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean).

- Ensure alignment with test strategies, plans, and quality standards.

- Work effectively within distributed and diverse project teams.

Required Technical Skills :

- Hands-on experience with Tosca test automation.

- Experience in manual or automated testing.

- Understanding of the full testing lifecycle and various test types.

- Test planning, execution, and test data management expertise.

- IT technical background, preferably with mainframe programming experience.

- Exposure to test automation tools such as UFT, Selenium, Robot Framework, etc.

Nice to Have :

- Experience in the insurance domain, especially claims processing.

- Knowledge of tools/technologies such as ServiceNow, QMF, TSO/ISPF, IMS.

- Familiarity with COBOL, PL/1, DB2, JCL, SQL, SAS.

- Experience using collaboration tools like Jira.

Qualifications & Experience :

- University degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.

- Experience in :

- Medium to large-scale project environments

- Distributed, diverse testing teams

- Requirements engineering, application development, and testing lifecycles

- Defect management and test automation

- Working with established test strategies and plans

- Knowledge of key testing metrics and monitoring practices.
