Responsibilities :
- Lead the overall automation strategy using Playwright for web applications.
- Own the complete automation framework lifecycle (design, development, maintenance scaling).
- Mentor, guide, and review the work of QA engineers.
- Enforce automation standards, best practices, and coding guidelines.
- Collaborate with Developers, Product Managers, and DevOps to define test scope and quality benchmarks.
- Own CI/CD test execution, including regression and smoke suites.
- Drive defect triage, root cause analysis, and release sign-offs.
- Track and report quality KPIs, automation coverage, and release readiness.
- Troubleshoot flaky tests and ensure stable automation in production pipelines.
Requirements :
- Strong expertise in automation tools/frameworks (Selenium, TestNG, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, etc.).
- Proficiency in coding/scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Deep understanding of testing methodologies : functional, regression, integration, performance, smoke, etc.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
- Experience with API automation using tools like RestAssured, Postman/Newman, or similar.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading QA teams and managing automation efforts end-to-end.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills :
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber).
- Exposure to microservices testing, contract testing (Pact), and service virtualization.
- ISTQB or similar certifications.
