Test Automation Engineer - Selenium/Cypress

About the Role :

We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and executing automated tests for web, mobile, and backend applications.

The ideal candidate will work closely with development and QA teams to ensure high-quality software releases, improve test coverage, and streamline the testing process using modern automation frameworks and tools.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing.

- Collaborate with QA leads, developers, and product teams to understand requirements and define test scenarios.

- Implement and maintain test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent.

- Execute automated tests as part of the CI/CD pipelines and ensure timely reporting of test results.

- Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA or equivalent bug-tracking systems.

- Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.

- Contribute to improving QA processes, test strategies, and automation coverage.

- Ensure adherence to software quality standards and best practices throughout the SDLC.

- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams to support continuous integration and delivery.

Technical Skills Required :

- Strong hands-on experience with automation tools : Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or equivalent.

- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.

- Experience with API testing and automation using REST/SOAP services.

- Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps for integrating automated tests.

- Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or Quality Center.

- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodology, and defect lifecycle.

- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills
