Test Automation Engineer - Selenium/Cypress

Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks. The ideal candidate will work closely with software developers, QA analysts, and product managers to ensure high-quality releases, improve test coverage, and reduce manual testing efforts through automation.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design scalable and reusable test automation frameworks and libraries

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI)

- Perform code reviews of test scripts and ensure best practices in test automation

- Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify testing requirements and coverage gaps

- Conduct functional, regression, smoke, and performance testing using automated tools

- Analyze test results, debug issues, and track defects using bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA)

- Ensure tests are stable, maintainable, and provide reliable feedback to developers

- Generate test reports and contribute to test documentation

- Stay updated with emerging test tools, techniques, and industry best practices

Required Qualifications :

- 25 years of hands-on experience in test automation

- Strong programming/scripting skills in one or more languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#)

- Experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit)

- Knowledge of REST API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured

- Familiarity with version control tools like Git

- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)

- Knowledge of cloud testing environments and cross-browser/device testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce

Labs)

- Familiarity with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, SpecFlow)

- Exposure to containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
