Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned QA Automation Engineer with 7 to 11 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced test automation frameworks.


The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise with Playwright, TypeScript, and Cypress, and a strong background in quality assurance strategy, automation architecture, and continuous integration. This role involves leading automation initiatives, mentoring team members, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, reliable software releases.


Roles and Responsibilities :


- Design and implement scalable and maintainable automation frameworks using Playwright, TypeScript, and Cypress.


- Lead end-to-end test automation efforts for web applications across functional, regression, and integration test suites.


- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product managers to integrate testing within CI/CD pipelines and ensure test coverage aligns with business requirements.


- Define and drive quality assurance strategies, standards, and best practices across teams and projects.


- Analyze test results, debug issues, and provide detailed root cause analysis.


- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in automation techniques, code quality, and troubleshooting.


- Continuously identify areas of test coverage improvement and introduce tools and techniques to optimize testing efficiency.


- Ensure all automation artifacts are well-documented and version controlled.


- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in test automation and quality engineering.


Required Skills :


- 7-11 years of experience in software quality assurance and automation testing.


- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, TypeScript, and Cypress for UI and end-to-end automation.


- Expertise in developing reusable test components and frameworks from scratch.


- Proficiency in version control systems like Git and working within Agile/Scrum teams.


- Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and experience integrating automation with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.


- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.


- Excellent communication and leadership abilities with a proven track record of mentoring and team collaboration.


- Experience with test reporting tools and test management platforms (e.g., Allure, TestRail, Zephyr) is a plus.


- Familiarity with performance testing, API testing tools, or mobile automation is a plus.
