Job Overview :

We are seeking a Validation & Automation Framework Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for automotive and embedded IP validation.

This role focuses on framework development, functional and system-level validation, and lab automation to ensure high-quality, KPI-driven validation across complex SoC and IP environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain modular and scalable validation automation frameworks

- Implement functional validation strategies for automotive IPs and subsystems

- Validate embedded protocols including LIN, CAN, UART, I2C, FlexRay, GTM, and processor cores

- Ensure system-level validation coverage, traceability, and compliance with requirements

- Develop reusable validation components using well-defined APIs and abstraction layers

- Implement robust error handling, logging, and debug mechanisms within frameworks

- Collaborate with design, firmware, and system teams to validate end-to-end use cases

- Automate lab setups and test equipment using SCPI/VISA protocols

- Track and report validation KPIs such as coverage, pass/fail rates, and defect trends

- Perform evidence-based debug and root cause analysis for validation failures

- Maintain and manage validation code using version control systems (Git, SVN, or similar)

Required Experience :

- 6-8 years of experience in validation, automation, or embedded/SoC verification roles

- Hands-on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks

- Strong exposure to functional and system-level validation environments

Technical Skills :

Programming & Scripting :

- Strong proficiency in Python

- Very strong knowledge of C/C++

- Working knowledge of Shell scripting

Framework & Architecture :

- Modular and reusable code design

- Scalable framework architecture with abstraction layers

- Robust logging, error handling, and debug infrastructure

Automotive & Embedded Validation :

- Validation experience with LIN, CAN, UART, I2C, FlexRay, GTM, and processor cores

CI/CD & Version Control :

- Experience with Git, SVN, or similar tools

- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows for automated validation

Lab Automation :

- Hands-on experience controlling test equipment using SCPI/VISA

Validation Methodology :

- KPI-driven validation and coverage analysis

- Evidence-based debug and reporting
