We are looking for a highly experienced Physical Design Team Lead / Senior Design Engineer to drive end-to-end physical design execution for advanced SoC/ASIC projects. This role combines strong hands-on technical expertise with design ownership and team leadership. You will play a critical role in ensuring design quality, meeting PPA targets, and mentoring engineers while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Job Designation : Physical Design Team Lead / Senior Design Engineer

Location : Coimbatore

Key Responsibilities :

- Drive floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, and timing closure across multiple blocks or full-chip designs

- Own STA closure at block and chip level, ensuring timing convergence across all modes and

corners

- Collaborate with RTL, DFT, verification, and foundry teams to ensure design correctness and manufacturability

- Perform and review power analysis, including dynamic/static power estimation and optimization

- Conduct IR drop, EM, and signal integrity checks, and drive closure of related violations

- Manage and support sign-off activities, including timing, power, and physical verification readiness

- Ensure adherence to PD methodologies, design best practices, and quality standards

- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical direction and design reviews

- Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities in the PD flow

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong expertise in floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, and timing closure

- Proven experience in Static Timing Analysis (STA) at block and/or full-chip level

- Solid understanding of power optimization techniques and IR drop analysis

- Experience with sign-off readiness and closure-driven PD execution

- Strong grasp of physical design flows and dependencies across front-end and back-end teams

- Ability to review designs critically and drive closure with minimal iterations
