Jio Platforms is seeking a visionary Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO) to lead end-to-end product innovation, technology architecture, and AI-led transformation across digital platforms. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in GenAI, Large Language Models (LLMs), MLOps, Reinforcement Learning (RL), AI engineering, and next-gen platform technologies.

This leader will drive product strategy, design intelligent systems, build scalable architectures, and lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver world-class digital products used by millions of consumers. The CPTO will shape the future of AI, automation, consumer experience, and platform intelligence across Jios ecosystemTelecom, Commerce, Cloud, Entertainment, Devices, and Home.

Key Responsibilities :

- 1. Product Strategy & Vision (CPO Mandate) :

- Define and execute the AI-led product strategy across Jios consumer and enterprise portfolios.

- Build next-gen digital products leveraging GenAI, LLM agents, AI copilots, personalization engines, and autonomous workflows.

- Drive customer-centric product roadmaps, prioritizing high-impact use cases across telecom, commerce, cloud, digital services, and devices.

- Lead product discovery, market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and long-term innovation planning.

- Champion a product culture focused on speed, experimentation, and outcome-driven delivery.

2. Technology Leadership & Architecture (CTO Mandate) :

- Own the technology vision, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability across platforms.

- Architect and deploy large-scale AI/ML infrastructure, LLM pipelines, vector databases, and model-serving systems.

- Oversee MLOps and engineering frameworks enabling continuous model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.

- Lead engineering teams across backend, frontend, data, cloud, and AI to build secure, resilient systems.

- Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies including RAG, autonomous agents, model compression, multimodal AI, and distributed AI systems.

3. AI Innovation & Applied Research :

- Build and lead an AI Center of Excellence, fostering advanced R&D in LLMs, RL, predictive modeling, and machine intelligence.

- Collaborate with global research institutions, startups, and ecosystem partners to accelerate AI innovation.

- Drive development of Jios proprietary AI models, foundation models, and industry-specific AI solutions.

- Shape ethical AI, responsible AI, and governance frameworks ensuring safe deployment of next-gen models.

4. Product Engineering & Execution Excellence :

- Integrate product and engineering functions into a single high-velocity, aligned delivery organization.

- Ensure high-quality releases using agile methodologies, design thinking, rapid prototyping, and automated

CI/CD.

- Implement scalable platform engineering, microservices, API-first development, and cloud-native architectures.

- Build strong security, privacy, and compliance processes across all platforms.

5. Data Strategy & Intelligence :

- Drive a unified data strategy covering data architecture, governance, real-time streaming, and analytics.

- Enhance personalization, fraud detection, and automation using predictive and prescriptive AI models.

- Implement enterprise-wide data lakes, feature stores, and real-time decision engines.

6. Leadership & Organizational Development :

- Lead and mentor large cross-functional teams including Product, AI/ML, Data, Engineering, Design, and QA.

- Build a culture of high ownership, innovation, and technical excellence.

- Establish goals, KPIs, and operating rhythms to align product and technology groups with business outcomes.

- Model performance, accuracy, latency, and reliability

- Cost efficiency through AI automation and optimization

- Platform scalability and uptime (99.9%+)

- Engineering delivery predictability and code quality metrics

Qualifications & Experience :

- 15+ years of experience in Product, Engineering, AI/ML roles, with at least 7+ years in leadership.

- Proven track record building and scaling AI-driven products for millions of users.

Strong expertise in :

- Generative AI, LLMs, RAG systems, Agents

- Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP

- Reinforcement Learning

- MLOps pipelines & model lifecycle management

- Cloud-native architectures (AWS/GCP/Azure/Jio Cloud)

- Data engineering, microservices, API platforms

- Experience leading cross-functional teams across product, AI, engineering, design, and data.

Education : B.Tech/M.Tech in Engineering/Computer Science; Ph.D. or advanced AI certifications preferred.
