Teradata Developer - Data Engineering

Job Title : Teradata Developer

Experience : 4+ years

Location - Bengaluru / Gurgaon / Hyderabad (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities :

Database Design & Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain logical and physical database structures for data warehousing solutions using Teradata.

ETL Development & Optimization :

- Design and develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the Teradata environment.

- Optimize ETL workflows to improve performance and ensure data accuracy.

- Implement best practices for data indexing, partitioning, and parallelism within Teradata.

Data Integration :

- Integrate data from various sources and systems into the Teradata platform.

Data Warehousing & Reporting :

- Develop and maintain data warehouse structures, ensuring effective data management and accessibility.

- Monitor the performance of Teradata systems and recommend optimizations.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 4+years of experience in data engineering or Teradata development.

- Proficiency in Teradata SQL, Teradata Utilities (BTEQ, Fast Load, Multiload, TPT),

- Requires better understanding of Teradata indexing strategies and usage of it.

- Requires deeper understanding of Teradata architecture and concepts

- Experience with ETL tools (e.g, DataStage) and data integration.

- Strong knowledge of data modeling (Star schema, Snowflake schema).

- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of large data sets.

- Familiarity with Unix/Linux and shell scripting.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and business teams.
