Job Title : QA Engineer - Backend Testing & API Automation.

Experience : 3 years.

Location : Bangalore, Marathahalli.

Job Description :

- Validate RESTful API responses, performance, and error handling.

- Use tools like Postman, RestAssured, Swagger, or similar for manual and automated testing.

- Write and maintain test scripts using Java, Python, or other scripting languages.

- Collaborate closely with backend developers and DevOps engineers to understand system architecture and integrations.

- Integrate automated test cases into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)

- Participate in debugging sessions and assist in root cause analysis of issues.

- Maintain clear documentation for test scenarios, coverage reports, and defects.

- Ensure test environments are set up and configured for backend validation.

Required Skills :

- Strong knowledge of RESTful API principles and HTTP protocols.

- Hands-on experience with tools such as Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI, or equivalent.

- Proficient in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).

- Experience in integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

- Familiarity with JSON, XML, and database querying (e.g., SQL).

- Good understanding of software development and testing life cycles.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with API mocking tools or service virtualization.

- Knowledge of performance testing tools.

- Exposure to containerized environments (Docker) and cloud services.
