Experience :

- 8-10.

We are seeking an L3 DB profiles with Expertise in MS SQL and knowledge of Oracle would be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

- Database Administration : Manage and maintain SQL Server databases along with lower versions, including installation, configuration, and upgrades\migrations.

- Performance Tuning : Optimize database performance through query tuning, index management, and server configuration.

- SQL Replication : Implement and manage SQL replication, including transactional and snapshot replication, to ensure data consistency and availability.

- Extensive experience with SQL replication technology is mandatory.

- Azure Cloud : Utilize Azure Cloud services to deploy, manage, and optimize SQL databases in a cloud environment.

- This includes Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and other related services.

- Backup and Recovery : Develop and manage backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection and business continuity.

- Security Management : Implement and enforce database security policies, including user access control and encryption.

- Monitoring and Troubleshooting : Monitor database performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to resolve problems promptly.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience in writing automation scripts, building dashboards for proactive monitoring using PowerShell.

- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to get to the route of an issue quickly.

Key points to consider :

- Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture, including memory structures and processes.

- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases.

- In charge of developing and implementing database backups.

- Configure, administration and troubleshoot Oracle Dataguard for disaster recovery.

- Experience of Oracle 10g,11g and 19c and above Database Administration on Unix and Windows distributed Platform.

- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.

- Knowledge of Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), ASM, and Active Data Guard.

- Perform backup and recovery procedures using RMAN.

- Experience with performance monitoring and tuning tools.

- Support RMAN other export and import utilities.

- Resolve locking conflicts/blocking and resource utilization.

- Experience of database Up-Gradations from lower to higher versions.

- Experience of database Cross Platform Migrations.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
