Job Summary :
We are looking for an experienced IBM Datacap Developer to design, develop, and maintain intelligent document capture and automation solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in IBM Datacap, document classification, OCR/ICR technologies, and integration with enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and develop IBM Datacap workflows, applications, and rulesets for document capture and processing.
- Configure and customize Datacap Studio, Taskmaster, and Datacap Navigator components.
- Implement OCR/ICR-based document recognition and validation processes.
- Integrate Datacap solutions with IBM FileNet, Content Manager, or other ECM systems.
- Develop scripts and logic for data extraction, validation, and export using VBScript, C#, or .NET.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing Datacap applications for performance and accuracy.
- Work closely with business analysts to understand document types, metadata, and automation needs.
- Provide production support, maintenance, and enhancements for existing Datacap implementations.
- Create technical documentation, test plans, and deployment guides.
Required Skills :
- Strong hands-on experience (5-6 years) in IBM Datacap development and configuration.
- Experience with Datacap Studio, Taskmaster Rulerunner, and Datacap Navigator.
- Proficiency in VBScript, C#, or .NET for Datacap scripting.
- Good understanding of OCR/ICR technologies and document classification.
- Experience with IBM FileNet P8, Content Manager, or Cognitive Capture solutions is an advantage.
- Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs for system integrations.
- Knowledge of Windows Server, IIS, and SQL Server environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- IBM Certified Datacap Developer certification (preferred).
- Exposure to RPA, AI/ML-based document processing, or cloud-based capture solutions (nice to have).
- Experience in Agile or DevOps-based environments.
Education :
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
