About the Role :

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Team Lead with strong expertise in Vue.js, Node.js, MongoDB and AWS/Kubernetes, along with experience leading engineering teams and working with AI-assisted development.

You will lead the India engineering team while working closely with product and business stakeholders in the UAE.

Mandatory Requirements :

- 8+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years leading a team of 5+ engineers.

- Strong, current hands-on experience with Vue.js, including component architecture, state management and performance optimisation.

- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js + Express for production APIs.

- Deep MongoDB expertise - aggregation, indexing, query optimisation and schema/data modelling.

- Strong AWS/Kubernetes/EKS experience, including deployments, resource limits, health checks and production monitoring.

- Working knowledge of Flutter, including widgets, state management and mobile release pipelines.

- Daily professional use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI or equivalent.

- Experience with spec-driven development and reviewing AI-generated code against defined requirements and acceptance criteria.

- Experience setting up and maintaining AI repo-level rules/context files and custom commands.

- Strong Git and CI/CD experience.

- Proven people-management experience including 1 : 1s, feedback, performance management, mentoring and hiring.

- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including experience working with overseas teams/time zones.

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

- Experience in B2B e-commerce, wholesale/distribution or marketplace platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor a team of 6 - 10 engineers across web, mobile and QA.

- Stay hands-on with production code across Vue.js and Node.js.

- Own architecture, API design, MongoDB modelling and technical decisions.

- Debug and resolve issues across the full stack, including Kubernetes production issues.

- Drive code quality, engineering standards, testing, documentation and technical debt reduction.

- Lead AI-assisted and spec-driven development practices across the team.

- Work with LLM APIs, embeddings and semantic search where relevant.

- Own sprint planning, estimation, delivery tracking and release coordination.

- Manage deployments, rollback planning and post-release monitoring.

- Participate in hiring, onboarding and technical interviews.

- Act as the primary technical bridge between the India engineering team and UAE-based product/business stakeholders.

- Contribute to modules covering catalogue, pricing, ordering, workflows, payments, invoicing and vendor onboarding.

Preferred :

- Offshore technical leadership experience with overseas stakeholders.

- Production experience integrating LLM APIs.

- Observability tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog or Sentry.

- Experience with payment gateways, logistics APIs, e-signature, mapping or geolocation integrations.
