Job Description : Technical Support Specialist AutoStore EXACTA & Conveyor Systems.

Position Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to provide application and operational support for AutoStore EXACTA warehouse execution software (WES/WCS) and conveyor/material handling systems.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting automated warehouse operations, including AutoStore, conveyors, and warehouse control systems, ensuring optimal system uptime and efficiency for distribution and fulfillment centers.

Required Qualifications :

Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

Experience :

- 5 to 8 years of IT/technical support experience, with 2+ years in AutoStore EXACTA or warehouse control systems (WCS).

- Strong knowledge of automated material handling systems, conveyors, and warehouse execution systems.

- Experience troubleshooting databases (SQL Server/Oracle), system logs, and APIs.

- Familiarity with PLC/controls, networking, and RF device connectivity.

Technical Skills :

- Hands-on with EXACTA WES/WCS modules, order routing, and exception handling.

- Proficiency in SQL, scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Shell), and system monitoring tools.

- Understanding of warehouse processes (inbound, outbound, picking, packing, inventory control).

AutoStore EXACTA WMS (Warehouse Management System) :

- Understanding of warehouse workflows (receiving, storage, picking, replenishment).

- Knowledge of EXACTA software modules (order management, inventory control, system monitoring).

- Familiarity with database systems (often SQL Server or Oracle) for troubleshooting and reporting.

- Experience with integration protocols (APIs, middleware, ERP/WMS interfaces).

Conveyor Systems :

- Basic mechanical engineering concepts (belts, rollers, motors, gearboxes, pneumatics).

- Knowledge of material handling equipment (conveyors, sorters, lifts).

- Understanding conveyor logic controls and safety interlocks.

- Operating Systems : Windows Server and Linux (for running system components).

- Networking : TCP/IP fundamentals, VLANs, switches, and firewalls for system connectivity.

- Databases : SQL querying for data validation and troubleshooting.

- SCADA / HMI Systems : Monitoring real-time performance and alerts.

- Scripting & Automation : Basic PowerShell, Python, or shell scripting for log analysis and task automation.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in 24x7 distribution/fulfillment center support.

- Knowledge of conveyor control systems, AS/RS, and robotics in automated warehouses.

- Exposure to cloud hosting, virtualization (VMware), and DevOps tools.

- Certifications in WMS/WCS platforms or industrial automation systems.

Soft Skills :
