Technical Project Manager - Data Engineering
Specifications :
Skill - Candidate must have worked in the past as a data engineer/developer using technologies like Python,SQL with project management.
Notice - Immediate to 60days
Shift - General Shift & Twice a week WFO.
Your Responsibilities as a Technical Project Manager :
- Lead the full project lifecycle initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure for complex, cross-functional technology projects.
- Act as the bridge between technical teams (engineering, DevOps, QA) and business stakeholders to ensure delivery aligns with both technical architecture and business goals.
- Demonstrate strong technical acumen with the ability to understand architecture diagrams, APIs, system integrations, and software development workflows.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications in collaboration with engineering leads.
- Participate in technical solutioning discussions and contribute to architectural decision-making where appropriate.
- Drive project delivery in agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban), ensuring adherence to agile principles and ceremonies.
- Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives while working closely with developers and QA.
- Define and manage detailed project scope, timelines, and deliverables while tracking key technical milestones.
- Proactively identify technical risks, dependencies, and blockers; escalate and resolve with appropriate technical leads.
- Monitor technical quality, ensure code review cycles are aligned with quality metrics, and support release management.
- Oversee deployment processes and coordinate with DevOps for CI/CD pipeline readiness and production release activities.
- Manage project budgets, resource planning, and vendor interactions where applicable.
- Prepare and deliver detailed technical and status reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Use project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps) to manage workflows and documentation.
What You Bring to the Table :
- 7 to 10 years of experience in managing complex IT/software projects, with 3+ years in a technical project management role.
- A strong technical background preferably a Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Hands-on understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), system architecture, APIs, databases, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience working with cross-functional technical teams in fast-paced, agile environments.
- Agile certifications (Scrum Master, SAFe) and strong familiarity with agile project delivery.
- Ability to read technical documentation and contribute to technical discussions with engineers.
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
