About the Role :
The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering complex technical projects in collaboration with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams.
This role combines project management discipline with strong technical understanding to ensure successful execution, on-time delivery, and alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Define project scopes, requirements, milestones, and success metrics.
- Build detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Coordinate engineering tasks and ensure alignment with product and business priorities.
- Track project execution, identify risks, and proactively remove blockers.
- Drive project delivery across multiple teams, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Understand system architecture, technical dependencies, and engineering constraints.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and product managers to refine requirements.
- Manage integration points, API dependencies, infrastructure needs, and technical workflows.
- Act as the communication bridge between engineering, product, QA, design, and business teams.
- Deliver regular status updates, dashboards, and progress reports to leadership.
- Facilitate decision-making and alignment across cross-functional groups.
- Manage expectations by balancing scope, timeline, and resources.
- Promote project management best practices (Agile/Scrum/Kanban).
- Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and technical discussions.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement scalable workflows.
- Ensure appropriate documentation, including technical specs, risk logs, and change requests.
- Identify and analyze project risks early; develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Manage scope changes and escalate critical issues when needed.
- Monitor technical quality and ensure project deliverables meet engineering standards.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of project or program management experience in a technical environment.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), cloud technologies, APIs, or infrastructure systems.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional technical projects end-to-end.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Asana, Trello, MS Project, etc.
- Ability to analyze technical issues and work closely with engineering teams to resolve them
