Technical Lead - Telecom Analytics Platform

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and direct the design, implementation, and execution of both functional and non-functional testing for designated telecom analytics projects.

- Strategically guide the Functional, Performance, and Automation Testing teams for the assigned areas.

- Evaluate and select appropriate testing tools, technologies, and frameworks for specific test activities.

- Establish testing environments in both bare metal and cloud infrastructures.

- Champion the development of automated testing, emphasising scripting languages like Shell, Perl, or Python on Unix platforms.

- Provide technical expertise on specific products, technologies, and specialized environments to the team, peers, and customers.

- Offer coordination and technical direction across multiple product lines.

- Assess and decide the quality measures to be employed at each phase of the system development lifecycle.

Educational Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or MCA.

- An advanced degree is preferable.

Requirements :

Experience :

- A minimum of 10-15 years in Quality Engineering, with a strong emphasis on Big Data Analytics for over 5 years.

Domain Expertise :

- Proficiency in Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, no-SQL, Oozie, Hive, Presto, Postgres, and others.

- Practical experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.

- A background in areas such as Revenue Assurance, Roaming, Settlements, Fraud Management, Risk Management, Mediation, Interconnect, and more is desirable.

- Familiarity with standards like 3GPP, ITU-T/ANSI, SS7, GSM, IS-41, ETSI, 3GPP is an advantage.

- Technical insights into SCCP, TCAP, MAP, ISUP, INAP, CAMEL, SIGTRAN, Diameter, LTE, and 5G protocol stacks are beneficial.

Technical Proficiency :

- Mastery in scripting languages, especially Perl and Python.

- A good grasp of Java or C/C++ will be an advantage.

Testing Acumen :

- Deep experience in Big Data technology with sharp analytical skills.

- Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, covering both Functional and Non-Functional Testing phases.

- Capability to multitask across diverse projects or vast SAFe Agile programs.

- Proficiency in the latest Testing and Automation tools.

- Skilled at efficiently managing escalations and navigating challenging scenarios or interactions.
