We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead with deep expertise in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).

The ideal candidate will oversee database architecture, performance tuning, security, and administration, while guiding a team of DBAs and developers to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of database systems.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to align database operations with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities :


Database Administration & Management :



- Lead Oracle Database administration activities including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migration.


- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of database systems.


- Monitor database health, capacity, and performance, implementing tuning and optimization as needed.


- Plan and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

Team Leadership & Mentoring :



- Lead, mentor, and guide a team of DBAs and junior technical staff.



- Assign tasks, review work, and ensure adherence to best practices and standards.


- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and facilitate skill development within the team.

Security & Compliance :



- Implement and maintain database security policies, roles, and permissions.


- Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements, data protection, and regulatory standards.


- Conduct periodic security reviews and vulnerability assessments.

Collaboration & Project Delivery :



- Work closely with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to support application and system requirements.


- Participate in database architecture design and planning for new projects or enhancements.


- Provide technical guidance and recommendations for database-related challenges.

Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis :



- Investigate and resolve database performance issues, errors, and failures.


- Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures.


- Optimize database processes to improve efficiency and system reliability.

Qualifications & Skills :



- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Masters preferred).


- Proven experience in Oracle Database Administration and 2+ years in a technical lead role.


- Expertise in Oracle Database architecture, RAC, Data Guard, backup/recovery, performance tuning, and security.


- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills, with experience in query optimization and troubleshooting.


- Familiarity with cloud database solutions (OCI, AWS RDS) is a plus.


- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
