Technical Lead - Network Protocols

Position : sPEC Control / Signalling Plane - Tech Lead

Summary :

- Design and develop advanced network elements and protocol implementations.

- Build robust and high-performance software solutions using C, C++, Go, and Python.

- Leverage Kubernetes and Docker to optimize network operations.

- Develop deep expertise in the SONiC NOS and its ecosystem.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and optimal system performance.

- Stay current with emerging networking technologies, including 3GPP NAS, NGAP, IETF protocols, and 4G/5G architectures.

- Effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.

Must have :

- Over 10 years of experience in developing platform and systems software for networking products.

- Strong proficiency in programming languages including C, C++, Go, and Python.

- In-depth knowledge of several of the following protocols : RADIUS, DIAMETER, NGAP, 5G NAS, SCTP, TCP/IP, EAP, IEEE 802.1x

- Proven expertise in software architecture, system design, and modern development methodologies.

- Practical experience with containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker.

- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset for effective cross functional teamwork.

Good to have :

- Solid understanding of Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Software-Defined

Networking (SDN) concepts.

- Active contributor to open-source projects.

- Practical experience in automation and analytics using modern AI frameworks.

- Familiarity with the SONiC Network Operating System and its ecosystem.

- Knowledge of 3GPP Wireless-Wireline Convergence and specifications from the Wireless Broadband Alliance and Broadband Forum.

- Experience with network management protocols including NETCONF, RESTCONF, and gNMI.

Education and Experience :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (Computer Science/Electronics)

- Full-time employment
