Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Lead with deep expertise in AWS cloud-native architecture and event-driven data platform engineering.


This role leads the design and delivery of a complex AWS modernization program, migrating a legacy event pipeline to a modern architecture built on Amazon DynamoDB Streams, Amazon MSK (Kafka), and Amazon EKS. The Technical Lead will own end-to-end technical delivery from architecture and pipeline design through integration testing, CI/CD setup, and documentation handoff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.

- Develop and integrate event-driven applications using Kafka.

- Work with microservices and distributed application architectures.

- Deploy and manage applications in AWS cloud environments.

- Work with AWS services such as DynamoDB and other commonly used AWS services.

- Understand how AWS resources are provisioned and deployed using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Serverless frameworks.

- Work with Kubernetes and understand core Kubernetes concepts and deployment workflows.

- Understand and work with CI/CD pipelines and workflows.

- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to ensure smooth application deployment and release processes.

- Understand application monitoring, observability, logging, alerting, and incident management.

- Work with monitoring/observability tools such as Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, PagerDuty, or similar platforms.

- Troubleshoot application and deployment issues across development and cloud environments.

- Follow best practices for code quality, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Required Skills:

- Strong hands-on experience in Python Mandatory

- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka Mandatory

- Good understanding of AWS cloud services

- Understanding of CI/CD workflows and concepts

- Understanding of cloud resource provisioning and deployment using AWS CloudFormation and Serverless frameworks

- Understanding of application monitoring and observability

- Ability to work independently with minimal hand-holding.
