This is a hands-on leadership role combining system architecture, technical decision-making, and team mentorship. You will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions across our cloud, backend, mobile, and AI/ML stack as we build and grow our real estate product.

Key Responsibilities :

Architecture & Technical Design :

- Define and own the overall system architecture, technology stack, and design patterns for the product.

- Make high-level technical decisions and trade-offs around scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.

- Produce and maintain architecture documentation and diagrams.

- Set and enforce coding standards, conventions, and engineering best practices.

Technical Leadership :

- Guide and mentor developers through code reviews, design reviews, and pair programming.

- Resolve complex technical problems and remove technical blockers.

- Identify, communicate, and mitigate technical risk.

- Ensure technical consistency across teams and components.

Delivery & Execution :

- Break down product requirements into technical tasks and provide effort estimates.

- Oversee implementation to ensure alignment with the agreed architecture.

- Own the testing strategy, CI/CD pipelines, and non-functional requirements.

- Balance technical debt against delivery timelines.

Collaboration & Communication :

- Translate business and product requirements into technical solutions.

- Liaise with product owners, project managers, and joint venture stakeholders.

- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.

- Coordinate across teams, vendors, and external integrations.

Governance & Strategy :

- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and U.S. real estaterelevant standards.

- Evaluate and select tools, frameworks, and third-party services.

- Align solutions with the product's long-term technical and business roadmap.

Required Technical Skills :

Cloud & Infrastructure :

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS (compute, storage, networking, IAM).

- Container orchestration with ECS / containerization (Docker).

- Designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, VPC, security groups, TLS).

Backend & Data :

- Expert proficiency in Node.js / TypeScript.

- Strong PostgreSQL experience schema design, query optimization, performance tuning.

Mobile :

- Native Android development with Kotlin.

AI / ML :

- Experience deploying ML models in production, including model serving with vLLM.

- Familiarity with tokenizer configuration and inference optimization.

Nice to Have :

- Experience building products for the real estate & proptech.

- Experience leading distributed or cross-functional teams.

- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

- Background in high-availability, high-throughput systems.

Experience & Education :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

- 8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years in a technical lead or architect role.

- Proven track record of taking products from concept to production at scale.

- Experience building or scaling SaaS / web-based products (real estate or proptech experience strongly preferred).
