We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Tech Engineer specializing in Secure Key Management, primarily leveraging Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), to join our team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cybersecurity, a good understanding of the software development lifecycle, and proven expertise in managing critical key infrastructure. This role requires technical depth, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex security requirements into robust, deployable solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

HSM and Key Management Expertise :

- Design, implement, manage, and maintain data encryption solutions and key management systems, with a strong preference for experience with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) such as Thales/Gemalto, nCipher, or equivalent.

- Manage the full key lifecycle, including generation, distribution, storage, rotation, and revocation for various applications and services.

- Ensure the security and availability of key management infrastructure according to industry best practices and regulatory compliance standards.

Infrastructure and Operations :

- Leverage strong infrastructure knowledge to configure, troubleshoot, and maintain related components, including load balancers, firewalls, and network security policies.

- Manage and administer Unix-like Operating Systems (OS), ensuring security hardening, patching, and optimal performance for key management systems.

- Implement and manage system logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address security and performance issues.

- Work with various database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) to support key management data and integration points.

Software Development Lifecycle & Tooling :

- Possess a good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and its secure integration points.

- Utilize and integrate with software development tools and platforms such as GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar systems for version control, CI/CD, and deployment automation.

- Collaborate with development teams to integrate key management best practices and solutions into new and existing applications.

Stakeholder Communication & Consulting :

- Serve as an effective communicator, capable of clearly explaining complex technical concepts and security requirements to non-technical stakeholders and senior management.

- Understand client needs and security challenges and translate them into practical, secure, and reliable products and services.

Required Qualifications :

Experience :

- Ideally 5+ years of hands-on experience in the cybersecurity domain, with a focus on cryptographic services and key management.

Technical Skills :

- Proven experience with data encryption solutions and Key Management Systems (KMS), especially those utilizing Hardware Security Modules (HSM).

- Proficiency in the administration and security hardening of Unix-like Operating Systems (e.g., Linux, Solaris, etc.).

- Experience with development/CI/CD tools like GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar.

- Demonstrable knowledge of networking and infrastructure components (firewalls, load balancers).

Soft Skills :

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
