Role Overview :
The Technical Delivery Head is accountable for end-to-end delivery of software development programs for the Retail Business division. The role ensures predictable, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery while building a strong technical organization and fostering long-term client partnerships.
Performance will be measured against delivery excellence, financial discipline, team effectiveness, and client satisfaction.
Key Performance Measures :
a. First-Time-Right Delivery
b. On-Time Delivery against committed milestones
c. Budget Adherence and Cost Optimization
d. Technical Team Performance and Capability Maturity
Delivery & Execution Excellence :
a, Own project planning, estimation, scheduling, and execution governance across the Retail portfolio.
b. Ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure applications that meet or exceed customer expectations.
c. Establish and enforce delivery standards, quality benchmarks, and risk management practices.
d. Oversee project health through proactive monitoring of scope, timelines, cost, quality, and dependencies.
Technical Leadership & Innovation :
a. Leverage deep expertise in relevant third-party technologies to design optimal technical solutions aligned to business needs.
b. Drive solution architecture, technical approach design, and delivery best practices across projects.
c. Identify, implement, and continuously adapt AI-enabled tools for software development, testing, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
People & Capability Development :
a. Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-layered technical organization comprising Project Managers, Technical Leads, Developers, QA, and Consultants.
b. Demonstrate strong delegation, supervision, coaching, and performance management capabilities.
c. Build succession pipelines and strengthen technical depth and leadership capability across teams.
Methodology & Governance :
a. Adapt delivery approaches based on client requirements, supporting Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid delivery models.
b. Ensure compliance with defined delivery governance, documentation, and audit standards.
Client & Stakeholder Management :
a. Build and sustain strong, trusted relationships with clients, acting as the senior delivery escalation and assurance point.
b. Partner with cross-functional teams including R&D, Implementation, Customer Support, and Customer Success Management to deliver integrated solutions.
c. Provide transparent communication on delivery status, risks, mitigation plans, and outcomes.
