Technical Consultant - SAP MDG Module

Job Summary :

The ideal candidate will have expertise in SAP MDG, hands-on development experience, and familiarity with change and incident management processes.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency, compliance, and integrity across SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Participate in end-to-end SAP MDG implementations, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.

- Develop and configure custom SAP MDG applications using ABAP, BRF+, FPM, and WebDynpro.

- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and maintainable technical solutions.

- Design and implement data models, workflows, validations, and derivations in the MDG framework.

- Customize and enhance MDG User Interfaces, validations, and value mapping using standard SAP development tools.

- Integrate SAP MDG with SAP ERP systems and other third-party applications.

- Work on incident resolution and change management requests for SAP MDG components.

- Participate in data load and conversion activities and support data migration from legacy systems.

- Collaborate with QA teams for unit testing and system integration testing.

- Monitor and optimize system performance, ensure data quality, and resolve technical issues.

- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, SOPs, and support materials.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong development skills in ABAP, BRF+, FPM, WebDynpro, and related SAP technologies.

- Experience working on at least one full-cycle SAP MDG implementation project.

- Hands-on knowledge of SAP MDG data models for materials, customers, vendors, and finance master data.

- Proficient in customizing workflows, UI enhancements, and business rules.

- Strong understanding of SAP ERP modules (MM, SD, FI, etc.) and how they integrate with MDG.

- Experience with incident and change management tools/processes (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).

- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.

- Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Data Governance best practices.

- Familiarity with data migration tools like LSMW, BODS, or SAP Data Services
