Key Responsibilities :
HCM Technical Development and Reporting :
- Develop complex and efficient Reports in HCM, utilizing Logical Databases (LDBs) such as PNP and PCH for seamless data retrieval from Personnel Administration (PA) and Organizational Management (OM).
- Demonstrate a good technical understanding of payroll and time management, including the ability to reliably read payroll/Time results from cluster tables (e.g., PCL2, RT, ZL).
- Possess a basic functional understanding of core HCM components: PA (Personnel Administration), OM (Organizational Management), and PY (Payroll).
Enhancements and Functionality :
- Lead the development of custom Infotypes in both PA and OM (e.g., using PM01), including the creation of screens, modules, and corresponding logic.
- Utilize technical expertise to create and enhance custom functionalities, including Functions, Operations, and Features (PE03) within the HCM module, often critical for payroll and time processes.
- Implement advanced ABAP technologies for standard SAP enhancement: BADIs, User Exits, and Enhancements Spots.
Web, Workflow, and Core ABAP:
- Apply technical knowledge and experience in Web Dynpros and Workflow design and programming for advanced HCM applications and self-service portals.
- Possess strong core ABAP skills across the technical spectrum: Data Dictionary, Dialog programming, ALV reporting (Classical and OOALV), BDCs, BAPIs, RFCs, Open SQL, and Performance tuning of complex programs.
- Apply knowledge of Object-Orientated ABAP (OOABAP) for modern, reusable code development.
- Utilize knowledge of IDoc technology for integration with external systems, particularly relevant to HCM processes.
Forms and Project Support :
- Knowledge of HCM processes and forms development (e.g., utilizing FPM, Adobe Forms) is desirable, though not mandatory.
- Work closely with functional teams to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and provide technical support during testing and go-live phases.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Experience :
- Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience as an SAP ABAP Developer, with a significant focus on the SAP HCM module.
HCM Reporting :
- Proven experience developing reports using LDBs (PNP/PCH).
Payroll/Time :
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret data from payroll/Time cluster tables.
HCM Enhancements :
- Hands-on experience creating and enhancing Infotypes and working with Features, Functions, and Operations.
Core ABAP :
- Expert skills in Data Dictionary, ALV reporting, BAPIs, RFCs, BADI, User Exits, Open SQL, and Performance tuning.
OOABAP :
- Knowledge of Object-Orientated ABAP principles and coding.
Preferred Skills :
- Hands-on experience with Web Dynpro and Workflow programming/design.
- Experience with HCM Processes and Forms technology.
- Knowledge and experience working within an S/4HANA environment.
