Job Summary :
As a D365 Technical Consultant at Cortex Consulting, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining technical solutions within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform. You will work closely with functional consultants and clients to translate business requirements into robust and scalable technical designs, ensuring seamless integration and optimal system performance. This role requires a strong understanding of D365 architecture, proficient coding skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities :
Technical Design & Development :
- Design and develop custom modules, extensions, and modifications within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations or Customer Engagement based on project needs).
- Create detailed technical design documents (TDDs) based on functional specifications, adhering to software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Sure Step methodologies.
- Develop and customize Workflows, Business Rules, Plugins, JavaScript, and Forms.
- Utilize C#.NET, X++, MS CRM SDK, Visual Studio, and other relevant technologies for custom development.
- Design and develop SSRS/SSIS packages and SQL Server components for reporting and data integration.
- Develop and deploy PCF controls, Power Apps, and Power Automate flows within the Power Platform.
Integration & Data Management :
- Integrate Dynamics 365 with external systems using APIs (REST, OData, SOAP), KingswaySoft, Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus), and other integration tools.
- Perform data migration, transformation, and integration using tools like Data Entities and Data Management Framework (DMF).
System Administration & Optimization :
- Perform D365 administration and manage environment configurations.
- Set up and manage DevOps pipelines for CRM/ERP systems on cloud platforms.
- Ensure compliance with architectural standards, global product guidelines, and usability design standards.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and provide effective solutions.
- Conduct unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT) for developed functionalities.
Collaboration & Communication :
- Collaborate effectively with business analysts, functional consultants, project managers, and other technical teams to clarify requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Dynamics 365.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices.
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to knowledge transfer documentation and provide guidance to junior team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Experience : 5-6 years of hands-on experience as a D365 Technical Consultant with strong experience in Dynamics 365 F&O or Dynamics 365 CE (CRM) development, customization, and integration.
Technical Proficiency :
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 architecture, modules, and functionalities.
- Proficiency in programming languages : C#.NET, X++ (for F&O), JavaScript, SQL.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM SDK.
- Hands-on experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, PCF controls).
- Experience with Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus) for integration.
- Proficiency in SSRS/SSIS and SQL Server development.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and pipeline setup for D365 deployments.
Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills :
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills :
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.

Desired Skills (Good to Have) :
- Relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications (e.g., MB-200, MB-400, MB-500, MB-600).

- Knowledge of Power BI for reporting and analytics.
- Experience with Lifecycle Services (LCS) for D365 environment management.
