Job Title : Technical Business Analyst IAM & Security Logging
Role Overview :
We are hiring an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support a large-scale Identity and Access Management (IAM) transformation program. The role focuses on improving authentication, security logging, monitoring, and visibility across enterprise systems.
This position requires strong business analysis skills combined with solid technical understanding, working closely with IAM engineers, developers, security teams, and senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Gather, analyze, and manage business and technical requirements for IAM and security initiatives
- Work closely with IAM specialists, developers, and operations teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Define and document authentication flows, user journeys, and security use cases
- Support logging, monitoring, and alerting initiatives across authentication and security platforms
- Create process maps, functional specifications, and detailed documentation
- Engage with senior stakeholders to capture requirements and present solutions
- Track deliverables and ensure milestones are met on schedule
- Support dashboard creation and reporting for operational and security metrics
- Define logging standards, guidelines, and best practices
Mandatory Skills & Experience :
- Strong experience as a Technical Business Analyst in technology-driven environments
- Understanding of event types, log formats, and schemas
- Familiarity with security event logging (authentication events, network logs, audit logs)
- Hands-on experience with logging and monitoring tools such as :
a. Splunk
b. Datadog
c. Azure Monitor
- Experience creating log-based alerts with actionable thresholds
- Knowledge of data normalization, enrichment, and correlation
- Experience building dashboards and visualizations
- Strong process mapping, analytical, and documentation skills
- Proven experience working closely with IT developers, engineers, and operational teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality output with minimal supervision
- Strong time management and ownership of deliverables
Proficiency with tools such as :
- MS Excel
- Visio
- Confluence
- Jira
- Power BI / Qlik
- Splunk
Good to Have / Desirable Skills :
- Experience working in financial services or regulated environments
- Knowledge of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and passwordless authentication
- Understanding of FIDO-based authentication technologies
- Experience collaborating with SOC analysts and DevOps teams
- Understanding of API logging, event-driven architectures, and audit trails
