Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect with deep expertise in Slack Enterprise Grid and digital workplace solutions to design, implement, and optimize collaboration platforms for medium to large enterprises. This role is highly client-facing and consultative, requiring strong technical leadership, architectural thinking, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable, secure collaboration solutions.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, security teams, and developers to architect enterprise-grade Slack ecosystems integrated with core business applications.

Key Responsibilities / KRAs :

Solution Architecture & Design :

- Design and implement enterprise-scale Slack solutions, including Slack Enterprise Grid architectures.

- Define collaboration strategies aligned with business goals, productivity, and governance standards.

- Architect scalable, secure, and highly available digital workplace solutions.

- Create architecture diagrams, technical design documents, and solution blueprints.

Slack Platform Expertise :

- Administer and optimize Slack Enterprise Grid, including :

- Workspace strategy and governance

- User lifecycle management

- Channel architecture and data retention policies

- Design and build custom Slack apps, bots, workflows, and automations using Slack APIs.

- Implement workflow automation using Slack Workflow Builder and external services.

Integrations & Automation :

Integrate Slack with :

- Enterprise systems (CRM, ITSM, HRMS)

- Third-party platforms (Salesforce, ServiceNow, Atlassian, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365)

- Custom internal applications

- Design event-driven and API-based integrations.

- Support DevOps notifications, CI/CD pipelines, and operational workflows within Slack.

Security, Identity & Compliance :

- Implement enterprise security best practices including :

- SSO, SCIM provisioning, and identity federation

- Role-based access control and permission management

- Data loss prevention (DLP) and compliance policies

- Collaborate with security teams to ensure adherence to enterprise governance, audit, and compliance requirements.

Client Engagement & Consulting :

- Act as a trusted technical advisor for clients and internal stakeholders.

- Lead technical workshops, discovery sessions, and architectural reviews.

- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and roadmaps.

- Provide guidance on best practices, adoption strategies, and change management.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing :

- Maintain detailed documentation including :

- Architecture designs

- Integration patterns

- Operational runbooks

- Contribute to internal knowledge bases and reusable solution frameworks.

- Mentor junior engineers and architects.

Required Skills & Experience :

Must-Have :

- 5 to 8+ years of experience in collaboration platforms, digital workplace technologies, or enterprise architecture.

- Advanced hands-on experience with Slack Enterprise Grid administration.

- Strong proficiency in Slack APIs, custom app development, and workflow automation.

- Experience integrating Slack with enterprise and third-party applications.

- Solid understanding of :

a. Identity management (SSO, SCIM)

b. Enterprise security and compliance controls

c. Excellent client-facing communication and consulting skills.

Preferred / Nice to Have :

- Background in professional services or management consulting.

- Experience with :

- Salesforce

- Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)

- ServiceNow

- Google Workspace or Microsoft 365

- Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native architectures.

- Certifications in :

- Slack

- AWS / Azure / Google Cloud

- Enterprise Architecture or Collaboration Platforms
