Job Description

Description :

The Technical Architect DevOps will be responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions in cloud and hybrid environments. This role goes beyond DevOps engineering. It requires an architect-level vision to define end-to-end infrastructure strategies, drive automation, optimize costs, and establish governance models. The architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, security, operations, and product) to design high-level architectures, modernize infrastructure, and lead cloud and DevOps transformation programs. The role also involves evaluating emerging technologies, ensuring adherence to industry best practices, and mentoring teams in adopting modern cloud-native and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities :

Architecture & Design :

- Design secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure solutions across multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.

- Define high-level architecture for networking, storage, compute, and application hosting.

- Define high-level architecture practices covering multi-region networking, disaster recovery, load balancing, and auto-scaling.

- Architect CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation frameworks.

- Establish cloud governance frameworks for compliance, security, and cost control.

Implementation & Governance :

- Lead end-to-end infra setup and cloud-native implementations across large-scale environments.

- Drive automation of infrastructure provisioning, deployments, monitoring, and incident response.

- Optimize cost, performance, and resource utilization across multi-cloud environments using FinOps practices.

- Implement observability frameworks (logging, monitoring, alerting) to ensure high availability and reliability.

Automation & Optimization :

- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, scaling, and observability.

- Define cost optimization strategies for multi-cloud and hybrid workloads.

- Continuously improve system performance, resilience, and efficiency.

Collaboration & Leadership :

- Act as a trusted advisor on DevOps and cloud transformation initiatives for stakeholders.

- Mentor DevOps engineers and development teams, building reusable frameworks and templates.

- Establish and lead a DevOps Center of Excellence (CoE) to drive adoption and standardization.

- Collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations to ensure seamless delivery.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement :

- Research and adopt emerging tools, cloud services, and DevOps practices.

- Recommend new approaches for agility, scalability, and reliability.

- Enable enterprise-wide DevOps transformation programs.

Must-Have Skills :

- Proven expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Strong background in network architecture VPC design, subnets, routing, VPN, firewalls, load balancers, hybrid connectivity.

- Hands-on experience in multi-region, highly available, and disaster recovery architectures.

- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Pulumi).

- Strong expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, Spinnaker).

- Deep knowledge of containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm).

- Experience in cost optimization, monitoring, and performance tuning for large-scale infra.

- Solid understanding of cloud security, compliance, and identity management (IAM, RBAC, Zero Trust).

- Strong coding/scripting in Python, Shell, Go, or similar for automation and integration.

- Demonstrated experience in leading DevOps transformation, modernization, and CoE initiatives.

- Ability to define reference architectures, reusable infra patterns, and best practices.

- Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and mentoring skills.

Key Competencies :

- Strong infra design and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication.

- Ability to lead in a global, fast-paced environment.

- Proven mentorship and leadership capabilities.

- Customer-centric mindset with strong business acumen.

Education & Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

- Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect) preferred.

- Certifications in DevOps tools (Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, etc.) are an added
