Role Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect with deep expertise in enterprise data platforms within the Life Sciences domain, particularly Commercial data. The role focuses on designing, governing, and scaling modern data architectures using Data Mesh and Data Fabric principles, with a strong emphasis on compliance, data quality, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and design enterprise-scale data platforms and data products for Life Sciences commercial use cases

- Define and implement Data Mesh and Data Fabric architectures, including domain-oriented data ownership and governance

- Lead the design and development of Snowflake-based data pipelines and data products

- Establish and enforce data quality, data governance, and data operations frameworks

- Ensure secure handling of sensitive data through data tokenization and masking strategies

- Design solutions compliant with HIPAA, PII, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements

- Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, governance, and business teams

- Provide architectural guidance, design reviews, and technical leadership across programs

- Define best practices, standards, and reference architectures for data platforms

- Support roadmap planning and technology selection aligned with business objectives

Required Skills & Experience :

- Proven experience working with Life Sciences data systems and data products, specifically Commercial data

- Strong hands-on experience with Data Mesh and Data Fabric architectures

- Ability to translate regulatory, business, and technical requirements into scalable architectures

- 7+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including

a. Data pipeline development

b. Data product modeling

c. Performance optimization

- Experience with modern data processing frameworks and languages - Python, Scala, and/or Spark

- Extensive experience with :

a. Data Quality (DQ) frameworks

b. Data Governance and stewardship models

c. Data Operations (DataOps)

- Strong experience in metadata management, lineage, and monitoring

Security & Compliance :

- 2 to 3 years of experience in data tokenization and sensitive data protection

- Thorough understanding of data privacy and compliance standards :

a. HIPAA

b. PII

c. GDPR
