About the Platform :

Our platform is a national-scale AI initiative focused on building Indias next-generation multilingual AI ecosystem a scalable, cloud-agnostic SaaS platform delivering AI-driven language services such as Neural Machine Translation (NMT), Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Text-to-Speech (TTS), and Optical Character Recognition (OCR).

It unifies API marketplaces, partner ecosystems, and intelligent data orchestration frameworks to drive inclusive digital transformation across Indian languages.

Role Overview :

The Lead Technical Architect will be responsible for defining, driving, and governing the end-to-end architecture and technology strategy of the platform. This role requires deep technical expertise in distributed systems, AI/ML infrastructure design, MLOps, and cloud-agnostic architectures. You will architect solutions for large-scale, high-availability systems while ensuring scalability, security, and compliance at a national level.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and evolve the overall platform architecture, covering components such as the API Marketplace, Partner Portal, Stakeholder Engagement System, Orchestration Engine, and Data Management Platform.

- Evaluate, select, and standardize the technology stack (e.g., Python/Flask, Kafka, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus).

- Architect and optimize data engineering pipelines for large-scale ingestion, annotation, and processing of multimodal data (speech, text, image, and video).

- Design AI/ML infrastructure and MLOps pipelines, including model training, version control, deployment, and continuous monitoring.

- Establish architecture governance standards for scalability, fault tolerance, observability, and operational resilience.

- Implement and enforce security and compliance frameworks (DPDP Act, Secure SDLC, and ethical AI standards).

- Drive non-functional requirements (NFRs) such as performance, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.

- Lead, mentor, and technically guide large engineering teams (50+ members) across multiple product modules.

- Collaborate closely with Product Management, DevOps, Security, and Data Science teams to translate business goals into scalable and secure technical solutions.

Required Technical Expertise :

- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in technical or solution architecture roles for large-scale distributed systems.

- Strong proficiency in Python (Flask) or Java/Go, with expertise in microservices and event-driven architectures (Kafka).

- In-depth experience with RDBMS (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).

- Proven experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (IaC).

- Hands-on expertise in MLOps, model lifecycle management, and data pipeline orchestration.

- Strong understanding of cloud-agnostic design principles, HA/DR strategies, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).

- Experience designing systems that support multi-tenancy, distributed caching, and asynchronous processing at scale.

Preferred Skills :

- Exposure to NLP, OCR, Speech, or Translation model integration and optimization.

- Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and transformer-based architectures.

- Experience with secure coding, threat modeling, and compliance-oriented system design.

- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and federated learning principles.

- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
