Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team. This role requires strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and executing automation test suites for high-performance and large-scale applications.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in building automation frameworks, integrating test suites with CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating closely with development teams to ensure consistent product quality. You will work across the full QA lifecyclefrom test planning and test-case creation to scripting, execution, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

Test Planning & Strategy :

- Identify, design, and develop test cases suitable for automation based on functional and non-functional requirements.

- Contribute to creating comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and QA documentation.

- Analyze requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to identify gaps and define test coverage.

Automation Framework Development :

- Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks (data-driven, hybrid, keyword-driven, etc.).

- Develop, enhance, and optimize automation scripts using tools such as Selenium, REST Assured, Protractor, Jasmine, etc.

- Ensure reusability, maintainability, and modularity of automated test components.

Test Execution & Reporting :

- Execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, API, and end-to-end testing.

- Configure and maintain test environments for automation execution.

- Track defects, analyze failures, and work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

- Provide detailed test reports and ensure timely communication of test results and quality metrics.

CI/CD Integration :

- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.

- Optimize automated test execution for faster feedback in the development lifecycle.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement :

- Partner with QA Analysts, Developers, SDETs, and DevOps teams to implement effective testing solutions.

- Participate in code reviews for automation scripts and ensure adherence to best practices.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in software testing and recommend improvements where needed.

Key Requirements :

Technical Skills :

- BE/B.Tech or MCA with 3+ years of experience in automation testing and QA.

- Strong experience with automation frameworks, including data-driven and hybrid frameworks.

Hands-on expertise with tools such as :

- Selenium WebDriver

- REST Assured

- Protractor

- Jasmine

- Proven experience integrating automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).

- Basic proficiency in Java programming and MySQL / PL/SQL for test scripting and validation.

- Fundamental knowledge of Linux commands and environment setup.

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

- Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Good to Have :

- Experience in API automation beyond REST (GraphQL, SOAP, etc.).

- Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).

- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
