Techdome - Quality Assurance Engineer - Java/Cypress

Key Responsibilities :

- Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing timely feedback.

- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases aligned with product requirements.

- Define key KPIs for product quality and track performance against them.

Manual Testing :

- Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to create effective test plans.

- Develop and execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications.

- Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar.

- Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and usability testing.

- Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility testing.

- Conduct database testing (SQL queries) to validate data integrity.

Automation Testing :

- Design and develop automation test scripts using Selenium (Java), Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.

- Automate API testing using Postman and Rest Assured.

- Execute and maintain automated test scripts to ensure test coverage and efficiency.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

Quality Assurance & Process Improvement :

- Work closely with developers to identify, report, and track defects.

- Suggest and implement test process improvements to enhance efficiency.

- Monitor software performance and work on test optimization strategies.

- Ensure compliance with best QA practices and industry standards.

- Stay updated with the latest testing tools, trends, and methodologies.

Requirements And Qualifications :

- 2-3 years of experience in manual and automation testing.

- Strong expertise in Selenium with Java, Cypress, Playwright, and Appium.

- Hands-on experience in API testing using Postman & Rest Assured.

- Solid knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

- Experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Experience with SQL for database testing.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

- ISTQB certification is a plus.
