TECEZE - Fortinet Security Engineer - Fortigate Firewall

We are looking for a skilled Fortinet Security Engineer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Fortinet security appliances, particularly FortiGate firewalls.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of network security principles and have real-world experience with firewall policy management, VPNs, and Fortinet security services.

Key Responsibilities :

- Configure, deploy, and manage FortiGate firewalls, including HA setups and advanced routing

- Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot firewall rules, NAT, VPN (IPSec/SSL), and UTM features

- Implement and manage Fortinet security services such as Web Filtering, Application Control, AV, IPS, and Anti-Spam

- Analyze firewall logs and respond to network security incidents or anomalies

- Configure and maintain VPN tunnels (site-to-site and remote access)

- Collaborate with network and security teams on policy design and implementation

- Perform periodic firmware upgrades and health checks

- Maintain proper documentation for configurations, policies, and procedures

- Support audits and compliance reporting by providing accurate firewall reports and configurations

Required Skills & Experience :

- Minimum 3 years of experience working with Fortinet firewalls in production environments

- Strong command of firewall policies, NAT, routing protocols

- Hands-on experience with IPSec and SSL VPN configuration and troubleshooting

- Familiarity with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and centralized security management

- Working knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking concepts, VLANs, subnetting, and IP addressing

- Experience with log analysis, packet capture tools, and network traffic monitoring

- Good understanding of network security principles, including threat prevention and access control

Preferred Skills :

- Fortinet NSE 4 certification or higher

- Experience with other Fortinet products

- Exposure to cloud firewall integration

- Experience with automation tools

- Familiarity with compliance frameworks
